Join Wandering Wild this July for the ultimate bucket-list trip to Banff National Park! This meticulously curated 7-day adventure is designed to take you to the most breathtaking spots in the Canadian Rockies while uncovering hidden gems along the way.

We’ll split our time between a cozy wilderness hostel and tent camping along the iconic Icefields Parkway, fully immersing ourselves in the rugged beauty of Banff. Our itinerary is packed with once-in-a-lifetime experiences, including:

      Lake Louise & Moraine Lake – Two of the most famous alpine lakes in the world
      Johnston Canyon – Hike through stunning waterfalls and limestone cliffs
      Peyto Lake – Witness the unreal turquoise waters from a panoramic viewpoint
      Columbia Icefields Glacier Tour – Step onto an ancient glacier for an unforgettable          experience
      Lake Agnes Tea House – Hike to this charming, high-altitude tea house for a well-          earned treat
      Lake Minnewanka – Explore Banff’s largest lake, with stunning scenery and history
      Sentinel Pass – One of the most breathtaking hikes in the Rockies, surrounded by          towering peaks
      Downtown Banff – Explore the lively heart of the Rockies
      Wildlife Viewing – Keep your eyes open for bears, elk, mountain goats & more!

With all meals, transportation, park passes, guided experiences, and accommodations included, all you need to do is show up ready for adventure! This trip is open to all adults, and whether you’re a solo traveler or coming with friends, you’ll be welcomed into a group of like-minded explorers.

Logistics 

Arrival

  • Airport: Calgary International Airport YCC

  • Pick-up is 9:00 am July 18th in Calgary at airport hotels

​

Itinerary

  • 18th, 19th, 20th at Hi Castle Wilderness Hostel 

  • 21st, 22nd, 23rd camping at Rampart Creek Hostel

  • 24th at Hi Castle Wilderness Hostel for laundry, re-packing and preparing for flight

  • 25th drop off in Calgary starting at 10 am

​

Activities include but not limited to: 

  • Guided Hike Sentinel Pass-7 miles and 2,621 ft of elevation gain

  • Lake Louise

  • Lake Minnewanka

  • Two Jacks Lake

  • Peyto Lake

  • Colombia Icefields Tour

  • Johnston Canyon

  • Explore downtown Banff

  • Tea House at Lake Agnes

  • Wildlife viewing along Icefields Parkway and Bow Valley Parkway

  • Banff Upper Hot Springs

What to Pack:

  • Passport

  • Sleeping Bag

  • Sleeping Pad/Mat

  • Mess Kit

  • Headlamp

  • Daypack for hiking

  • Water bottle

  • Comfortable Hiking boots (break in before)

  • Appropriate clothings and layers

  • Swimsuit 

  • Hat, Sunglasses, Sunscreen, & Bugspray

  • First Aid Kit

  • Optional but recommended: Binoculars, trekking poles, camera

  • A detailed packing list will be provided after registering

Departure

  • July 25th at 10 am-drop off in Calgary at airport
